3 Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills back.

With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is why article writing, submissions and publications are also getting popular.

There are already many tools that people can use to make the process of distributing their articles more easy. Though this is invaluable in getting the contents more exposure, which is only half of the story.

Let us take a look first at the common mistakes that some people make before submitting their contents to article directories:

1. Confusing the reason to promote the articles with the reason to write them.

In article writing, there are three key benefits why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts.

3. Publishing content that does not help your readers.

Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine.

Guess what? Not all article banks and directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting.

You can double the number of sites you can submit to by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight.

Write the articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce a good content on your behalf.

In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time making quality contents.

It will be your choice. You may not be aware of the fact that an article submitted on directories is not meant to have the same level of exposure as highly-targeted content ones geared on a narrow group of people.

Lately I have been working on other aspects of my online writing skills, as a result I have decided to share with you my faithful followers some of the interesting stuff I have been working on. Firstly let me name the platforms and then I will give you the links to log on and see and share some of the work that I have managed to accomplish elsewhere. I am now writing for iBuzzle, E-Zine, Street Articles, Hub Pages, and Squidoo.
To date I have done five poems for iBuzzle, I will now give you the link for the most read one and the category it is in; the reason for this is to build on our relationship, and have your opinion on what i have written, so please follow the link, have a read and let me know what you really think; is that okay?
Very well then; the category of my poem is 'dreams and fantasies', and the name of the poem is 'Never Give Up-Never Give In' .
I have three articles in E-zine, but the one I love to share with you is in the category of Positive Attitude, and it is entitled: Winning-The Mindset  . For Street Articles I have written five articles, and the one I want to share with you is in the category of Self Improvement; it is entitled: Are We Really Ourselves.  I have two hubs on Hub Pages and the categories are Writing Effectively, and Health and Safety respectively, the first one is entitled A 5 Rule Guide To Effective Writing , and the second is entitled Personal Tips For Security And Safety .

Be Yourself-Be You

Today it is so much easier to use fictional stories and heroic cult figures to bring to mind what one can be and what one can accomplish, the problem with that is that people just like us write most of these stories based on something they would have imagined, yet the impact it has on our own imagination in some instances is thought wrenching. Going for a job interview is in most cases quite unnerving, and one has to do many things to prepare so to ensure that you pass the interview, and so on the way over you inadvertently begin to imagine how it will go,mostly in your favor if you are positive and quite the opposite if you are negative. The point I'm making here is that we have to maintain control of the source of all that we imagine and dream,we must set and measure daily the parameters of what we choose to take into our thought processor and our emotions. What price do we put on the time spent trying to imagine ourselves being like 'Mike', or the next Warren Buffet, or Barack Obama, or even the next Super Star winning musical and television awards. Does it really matter in the end, or can we justify inwardly using these examples to motivate ourselves to rise to the next level? What worked for any of these guys may not necessarily work for us,let me give you an example: Roger Federer has 17 Grand Slam titles in tennis,with his smooth and silky style he was able to pile up many wins and be the best at his game. Rafael Nadal on the other hand is brutish and aggressive in his style of play more physical and totally the opposite to Federer,but he is going to be the next great player after Roger with the fourteenth Grand Slam in his sights (Australian Open.) It is not so much about what we imagine that matters, but rather what we are immensely convicted about. So be proud of your style and believe in it because it uniquely identifies who you are; is it better to hear someone say: "oh he looks like this one or that", or "wow he reminds me of Tyson,just like Mike". Or would you prefer to hear: "man this guy is new,he is different". Frankly I prefer the latter, ironically it is so much harder to make friends when you are new, but if you persist and truly believe in due time people will gravitate to you just to find out why you are not like everyone else. People are impressed when you can recall specific things about them, it tells them that they have made the kind of impression that most of us dream of for the first time. If they must remember you then they should only remember you for who you really are,not for who you think they want you to be. There is very strong reason for this, and the gist of it is that when the real you comes to the surface, what it does is blow any kind of credibility you may have falsely gained,besides whether you know it or not my friends the real you always outshines whoever the false you are. Begin by being you and end by being yourself because that way you have no regrets or any explanations to give,it may be challenging but despite what the situation may be strive with all you can just to be YOU. You owe it to yourself to be honest and then some, it is so much more better when people can relate to the real you just normally, why not just be consistently you everyday in everything; there are rewards in doing that,it may take longer in the end but ultimately you will have no regrets.
